PART 1: (Thursday, March 11) Pre-reading: Miller, Clara, The Looking-Glass World of Nonprofit Money: Managing in For-Profits' Shadow Universe, click here to access. In "Creating Your Plan", you will learn to create the outline of a three-year fund development plan based on strategic choices your organization must evaluate and make. This workshop will enable you to determine the funding directions you want your non-profit to pursue. You will establish the fundraising and earned income sources it will utilize, and the percentage of their contribution to your organization's funding goals.
PART 2: (Wednesday, March 17) For the "Group Consultation Seminar", complete and bring copies of your detailed Fund Development Plan Outline and 350-word Case for Support. You will see and learn from each other's Case and Plan, discuss their strengths and weaknesses, and consider key action steps for using or implementing them. The end result is having a Fund Development Plan and a Case for Support that gains committee and board engagement and approval.
(Fee for Series: $55; includes light snack). Scholarships available for CAN participants.
