Volunteer Recruitment and Management, Tuesday, April 27, 9:00 am to 11:30 am., UW-Parkside's Tallent Hall (Orchard Room), 900 Wood Road, Kenosha, WI (Presented by:  Bonnie Andrews, Volunteer Center Manager, Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee www.volunteermilwaukee.org)-In this workshop, you will learn  how to effectively recruit, manage and retain your volunteers, and have peace of mind  knowing  that they are receiving the best treatment.  Areas covered: 1) Organizational characteristics to promote effective volunteer management, 2) The process-application, screening, interview, background check, orientation and more, 3) Targeted recruitment, and 4) Maintaining volunteer relationships.
 
You will receive a checklist of the essential ingredients for each area to help you assess and improve your volunteer program.  At the end of the workshop, you will have time to evaluate your priorities, and begin a plan to strengthen the effectiveness of recruiting, managing and retaining your volunteers.    (Scholarships available for CAN participants.)
