Transportation is essential for everyone, including the 54 million Americans with disabilities. In addition,
as people age, transportation choices and mobility skills may change requiring accessible transportation
options. Is your community transportation-accessible? Participant benefits:
• A means to assess community readiness to support a continuum of mobility needs;
• Learn new concepts for greater access like travel training, person-directed mobility managers in
your community, and increased accessible transportation options;
• Connection between accessible transportation and improved quality of life and health, greater civic
engagement, reduced costs of long term care, increased intergenerational diversity and personal
empowerment and independence.

Cost: Free, but space is limited.
