Special Report #7 American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009: White House Briefing for Nonprofits On April 9, the White House held a special “briefing for outside organizations about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)” to provide an opportunity “to learn about how the ARRA funds are being distributed in the various departments and how you as organizations can participate.” The National Council of Nonprofits attended the briefing and is publishing this Special Report so nonprofits across the country can have equal access to this important information. Special Report #9 Strategies Being Used by Nonprofit Leaders To Cope with the Nation’s Economic Crisis This report synthesizes the data from four national and nine state surveys illustrating how nonprofits are coping with the impact of the economy and offers suggestions for cost-cutting measures and strategic steps nonprofits can take to address the allocation of scarce resources as they weather the downtown in the economy. A special bulletin, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: Act Appropriations Beneficial to the Nonprofit Sector and Key Resources for Organizations to Approach and Access Funding Sources, is available starting today, April 27, 2009.
Written and researched by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and published in conjunction with Giving USA Foundation, the Bulletin provides timely information on how charitable and philanthropic organizations can apply for funding through the Act, also known as the stimulus package. The Bulletin contains hotlinks to numerous sites and resources.
There is a sense of urgency, however, as deadlines for applying for grants under the Act are approaching.
The Foundation Center has compiled a list of resources on how nonprofits can access stimulus package funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
