Please join us for the next Forum on the Milwaukee Nonprofit Sector:

Please join us as Renee Irvin, an award-winning teacher and nationally-recognized scholar, engages Milwaukee area leaders in a critical exploration of the following:

How the concepts of collaboration and barter apply to the nonprofit sector;
Reasons for engaging in collaboration and barter as well as some cautions;
The circumstances and principles under which collaboration and barter can help nonprofits achieve their mission; and
Decision-making processes that can help nonprofits determine when conditions may be right for collaboration.

Participants are encouraged to secure and read Renee Irvin's chapter, "Collaboration and Barter," in the book Financing Nonprofits: Putting Theory into Practice, edited by Dennis R Young. If you would like assistance with securing a copy of the book, contact sschnupp@uwm.edu.

The forum is convened by the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in partnership with the Donors Forum of Wisconsin and the Nonprofit Management Fund, with generous support from Northwestern Mutual Foundation.
