Nonprofit Marketing & Communications
Walk through key elements of internal and external communications, including determining your audience and how to reach them, creating a communications plan, working with social networks, increasing effectiveness with communications, crisis communication planning, how education relates to marketing and communications, integration of marketing and communications with the work of the organization, and logo creation/usage/credit.
Presenter
SARA ANTONSON has been the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley since July of 2006. She is an experienced marketing, human resources, and information technology professional who has served on the boards of directors for a number of local nonprofit organizations including the United Way, Junior Achievement, Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild and Eau Claire Regional Arts Center. Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Club, Sara worked as the Marketing Director for the Markquart Family of Dealerships in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Sara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior and Communication from Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

It is possible to register for the full series online but will require you to register for each workshop individually and will take a little more time.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 5 business days before a program’s start date, and we will refund your payment less a $25 administrative fee per workshop. If you cancel fewer than 5 business days prior to the program start date, no refund will be given. You may substitute another person for your registration at any time. Call the Continuing Education Office (715-836-3636/toll free 866-893-2423) for assistance. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment or other administrative reasons, as well as the right to limit enrollment to ensure quality. In the event of a UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education cancellation, a full refund will be issued. Our liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.
