Nonprofit Board Development & Management
Examine the roles and responsibilities of staff and board members in nonprofits, and the relationship between the nonprofit executive and Board. Discussion topics will include recruiting, training, managing and engaging board members, understanding and elevating the mission/vision, fiscal responsibility and stewardship, board structure and the role of committees, risk management, and conflict management.
Presenter
TAMI SATRE oversees statewide district operations for Junior Achievement (JA) of Wisconsin, Inc. She currently coaches staff in 9 districts and consults with ten volunteer boards, made up of more than 175 board members statewide, on board recruitment and diversity, engagement, and development. In addition to working with existing boards, Tami has developed boards in new JA territories including Madison, LaCrosse, and the Chippewa Valley where she got her nonprofit start 17 years ago.

It is possible to register for the full series online but will require you to register for each workshop individually and will take a little more time.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 5 business days before a program’s start date, and we will refund your payment less a $25 administrative fee per workshop. If you cancel fewer than 5 business days prior to the program start date, no refund will be given. You may substitute another person for your registration at any time. Call the Continuing Education Office (715-836-3636/toll free 866-893-2423) for assistance. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment or other administrative reasons, as well as the right to limit enrollment to ensure quality. In the event of a UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education cancellation, a full refund will be issued. Our liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.
