In this hands-on, interactive, “get-it-done” experience, participants will design a complete orientation and reference manual for the Board of Directors.

Building an effective Board begins with each individual Director possessing the tools they need to govern: knowledge of Board and staff roles and responsibilities, as well as the organization’s policies, history, culture, programs and finances. An up-to-date and complete orientation manual is an essential tool for training and empowering a strong Board of Directors.

B. Denise Patton, President, has more than 20 years experience in organization leadership development within the nonprofit sector. She brings a background in Business Management, Community Development and Professional Communications. She is a certified Diagnostic Clinic Consultant serving southeastern Wisconsin.
